1 year on and still no gift cards available in Australia. I do not have a credit card but do have a sufficienct Paypal account. I want to be able to use the premium service but Spotify won't even take my money. unsatistactory

I'm on premium so I can't confirm it's still the same, but I think you can still get the free trial without entering payment details.

Unfortunately not, redeeming the 30 day free trial requires you to enter your billing details since it is the start of a rolling monthly subscription.
