I've been a Spotify subscriber for a few weeks and got the app for my phone. Ever since, my battery performance is horrible and I can no longer make it through the day without charging. When I look at the stats, Spotify is consuming far more battery than even my screen. 

Is this a known issue? Is it possible to tune/turn certain features off to improve this? I feel like I'll have to switch back to Google Music if there's no way around this because my phone is my main media player. Spotify does seem to be better in all other ways though 😞

I'm on 8.4.32.623 on a Galaxy S8.
