30 minutes of ad-free music still not working?

Currently using an iPhone 6, latest iOS as of March 30 2017, same with version of Spotify. I've been watching the video ads all the way through, and yet I'll still get ads less then 30 mins after, an average of 15 minutes, but sometimes right after the video ad.
The ad that plays after is always a maccas ad, and then a random ad (I've had Spotify premium, Pringles, an ad for a rap artist). The video ad is variable. It was a movie ad four times (a time travel movie and first two then Ghost in the Shell last two) and an ad for the Pixel phone the rest.

I’m using Spotify on an iPad Air. The “Listen Ad Free for 30 minutes” plus an ad comes on. I listen to one song and then a new ad without the “Listen Ad Free...”, before the half hour is up another ad will appear.
