Hi @psgpremium,

Thanks for posting on the Community.

We can confirm that it's expected behavior that the volume can't be controlled from a mobile device when the playback is coming from another mobile device. However, as you mentioned, it is possible to control the volume of the desktop app from a phone via Connect.

For this reason, we recommend checking our Ideas board to see if there are any related ideas or you can also submit your own. Others can then vote for it or add to the conversation to show their support. You can find the steps to submit a new one in this article.

You can also read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.

Thank you for your reply, but I still can't understand: WHY Spotify enable and then disable this volume control ?

Volume control mobile to mobile it's not a new function or something that we have to "vote". This feature is implemented in Spotify so why it's occasionally enabled and then sudden disabled, could you please answer us

Hey @psgpremium,

Thank you for your reply and feedback.

We're always testing things by adding or removing features to make Spotify better overall. We’re sorry that this means you’re not able to use Spotify like you wish to do at the moment.

We're constantly aiming to improve our features so we hope you’ll continue using it and find it gets better in the future.

Once again - thanks for the feedback, we appreciate it. Let us know if we can help with anything else. We're always one reply away.

For those who use a mobile device as their Spotify player connecter to speakers or amp this is very inconvenient. Why not have it as an option instead of getting rid of it.

Hi there @MikeVanRose,

Thank you for your reply and feedback.

We understand that things can feel frustrating when things don't work as you'd like them to. Rest assured that we're always trying to improve our features so that all of our users can have the best Spotify experience as possible,

Let us know if we can help you with anything else.
