Album Shuffle play on iPhone

For 2 consecutive days I briefly listened to an album on shuffle play. The same 3 songs played first both days in a row. This album has 20 songs. If shuffle play is supposed to be random then how do same 3 songs play first?

Well, it's certainly possible for that to happen from time to time, even with shuffle. You said you briefly listened, so I take it you didn't have a chance to go further into the queue. I'm just wondering if it ever gets more random as it goes.

I think according to probability theres about a 2.5% chance of that happening but i've noticed many times with shuffle even using a large playlist that certain songs repeat over and over while others songs never get played
