My Question or Issue

 I had about 1500 saved songs or “favorites” dating back from 2015 and now I’ve found that they’ve been cut down to about 20

Hello! I had a friend who dealt with this exact same problem. There was a new spotify update on the mobile devices and she thought she lost her songs, but if you log onto another device, such as a kindle or a computer, the songs will still appear in your library but I don't believe that there is a way to bring bring them back onto your mobile device, unless you have premium.

It sounds like you may have created a second account by accident. You can follow these steps to see if that's what has happened.

Don't worry about that! 

All your saved songs are still there. Just give them some time to show up. Mine weren't showing up to, but it seems they needed their time to become available.

As the answers before mine, the Desktop apps are the same and you can always find all your saved songs under Songs folder in the righ side bar.
