All songs keep repeating on my apple watch

Solved!

All songs keep repeating on my apple watch

Songs keep repeating on my apple watch even if I have shuffle on or off. I have to manually tap next. I have tried multiple different playlists from my watch during my nightly runs.  These are all offline downloaded playlists. This worked fine for years. I have uninstalled the app from my watch, reinstalled it, deleted the playlists and redownloaded them. Still the same

Me too. Exact same problem. considering cancelling my 4 year Family Sub on this.

@spotify support team we'd expect a more prompt response here as I am sure there are quite a number users with this issue.

And how should we do a screen recording on an Apple Watch? Especially for those out running without their phones? (Which is where many n this thread are experiencing this) Many have already posted all the info you requested on this thread, and it’s obviously a problem that started a few weeks ago and continues to be a problem for many different models that are all up to date.

This issue is a bummer. I’m getting close to the end of my free Apple Music trial, and I’m not too psyched about paying for two services because Spotify is broken.

it’s also jarring when I try Spotify to see if the issue is resolved and then switch to Apple Music. Assume I’m not the only one noticing the huge difference in sound quality. I’m not there figuring out how to find content, but Spotify is forcing me to figure it out.

Yes a bone, <chanting> throw us a bone, throw us a bone, throw us a bone 🙂

Yet another user forcibly switched to Apple Music due to this issue. Not good Spotify!

Can you listen to Apple Music without this problem?

Yes Apple Music is working as it should as I have free trial whilst this issue is getting resolved but don’t know if anyone is even looking at it as it’s been over 3 weeks!

Yes

Yes. Works like a charm and better Sound quality too.

I am writing to report also a recurring issue with the Spotify app on my Apple Watch. The app stops playback after each song in a playlist, requiring manual intervention to play the next track. This significantly disrupts the listening experience.

Details of the Issue

Device: Apple Watch Series 10

Issue: Playback stops after each song in a playlist instead of continuing automatically.

Scenarios Tested:

•Streaming playlists via iPhone connection.

•Playing downloaded playlists offline.

•Using both AirPods Pro (latest firmware) and the Apple Watch speaker.

Steps Taken to Resolve:

1.Rebooted the Apple Watch.

2.Uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app on the Apple Watch.

3.Tested both with and without the iPhone connection.

4.Attempted playback using downloaded playlists.

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue, and the behavior persists under all conditions tested.

Environment Details

Apple Watch OS Version: WatchOS 10 (latest version).

Spotify App Version: 8.9.94 (latest version).

iPhone Model and iOS Version: iPhone 12, iOS 17.1 (latest version).

Earbuds Model: AirPods Pro (latest firmware).

Connection Type: Bluetooth headphones, Wi-Fi, and LTE (tested all).

Additional Notes

This issue makes the Spotify app on the Apple Watch difficult to use as it fails to perform a basic function: continuous playback. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter or an update on whether the issue is being addressed in upcoming updates.

I have been having the same issue for a few weeks and everything is up to date. Used to not have this issue and then suddenly it started up

As with everyone else, Spotify app won’t advance downloaded songs. One song will finish, and it’ll just sit..not advancing. I have to manually advance to the next song.

I tried your typical boilerplate troubleshooting items to no avail. What’s the deal? How can you not get something as simple as playing back downloaded songs back, on shuffle.

  • A rough date of when this issue has started appearing: Since I first got this watch, Nov 2024.
  • If this has started after a specific event e.g. like an app update: No - it’s never worked as you’d think it should.
  • The model of your watch: Series 10
  • The model of your phone: iPhone 15 Pro
  • The app version of your mobile app: 8 .9.94.418

Same issue here and with other people I know too.

Offline playlist modus on Apple Watch is a crucial basic function for sports (running, gym) use.

Please fix quickly or I will probably not be the only one switching to Apple Music.

Same issue. Did all the resets and reloads as well and the issue remains. Been happening for two weeks or so.

Same issue as well with earbuds sony wf..5 and lte iwatch 10, all soft last version. Highly unpleasant while running.

I have the same issue, super annoying!!

Same issue here. I’m going to give it a few days. If it’s not fixed, I’m ending my 9 year subscription. It’s exhausting dealing with app issues constantly during what little time I have to run.
