Songs keep repeating on my apple watch even if I have shuffle on or off. I have to manually tap next. I have tried multiple different playlists from my watch during my nightly runs. These are all offline downloaded playlists. This worked fine for years. I have uninstalled the app from my watch, reinstalled it, deleted the playlists and redownloaded them. Still the same

I have the same problem. Had to subscribe to apple music so I had free flowing music for my half marathon. If it doesn’t get fixed I’ll be cancelling spotify premium
I have the same issue and it's maddening that it hasn't been solved yet - it's been going on for 3-4 weeks and is a much larger problem than this thread suggests. This community page illustrates that all users of the Apple Watch app and offline playlists face this problem - https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/All-songs-keep-repeating-on-my-apple-watch/m-p/6503...
Please cross-list your complaints in https://community.spotify.com/t5/iOS-iPhone-iPad/Apple-Watch-App-Stops-Playback-After-One-Song/m-p/6... -- this is an entry in Spotify's "Ongoing Issues" list. I'm not sure that Spotify looks at their ongoing issues list, but they sure aren't looking at this community page. Maybe if we can ramp up enough complaints about this issue, Spotify might deign to try reproducing the problem that happens to us all the time. Thanks.
Waardeloos hoe lang dit duurt. Zet gewoon de oude versie terug!
veel mensen hebben dit probleem. Kijk maar:
Same issue here! iPhone 15 Plus and Apple Watch Series 9. Spotify Version 8.9.94.418
I have the same issue. It has been ongoing for 3 to 4 weeks now. iPhone 15pro and Apple Watch series 9. Have deleted and re-added Spotify to phone and watch, reset and erased watch, but it keeps being an ongoing issue. Very frustrating as a premium account and with a watch which I only bought for the purpose of running with my Spotify playlist to listen to.
I too have this issue. It started about three weeks ago with one song in a playlist repeating itself and then freezing. Now a new playlist will play two songs and then freeze and will then only play one song before freezing. I have tried to use Spotify on another Apple Watch and have had exactly the same result.
i have now “chatted” with five different Spotify advisors whose only advice is to reinstall software and reboot. None were aware of this being an issue and all insisted it must be an issue that could be fixed by the user.
it strikes me as somewhat unbelievable that no one at Spotify has considered trying to replicate the issue by downloading a playlist and taking a walk around the block.
The Spotify Apple Watch software is now unusable if you are a runner.
It gets me that Spotify can’t see that someone like you (and me) who have been using Spotify for years must be identifying a genuine issue if the software suddenly stops functioning after working perfectly well and seamlessly for years and years beforehand.
Same Issue here and I have tried to talk to some Spotify guys but they couldn't help at all.
Same issue here, infuriating
Stops after each track and having to manually skip
iPhone 13 mini
Apple Watch SE - 2nd gen

have started Apple Music trial and so far no issues
For some reason my original post was removed by Moderaters. Not sure why…

same issue for me. also started my apple music trial.
Hey folks,
Thanks to everyone that's taken the time to post in this thread.
This is taking some time, but we can confirm that we've contacted Apple and reported this issue to the relevant team. They're currently looking into the situation and as soon as we have any updates, we'll let you know.
In the meantime, we're here if anything else comes up.
Same issue I have reset watch I was on beta testing but after resetting it went, I choose normal currently running 11.2 (22S5094a) any downloaded playlist I have to manually click next to play the next track
I've been having this problem for 2 months, like all the rest here... (the repeating song thing), however, some days ago I've noticed that the songs are not repeating anymore, but getting stuck at the second one... like: it plays the 1st, 2nd and just do not automactly advance to the next ones..
For me it feels random, but never more than two songs before it stops!

My Question or Issue
When I download any Spotify playlist to my Apple Watch 10 (GPS only version) and play directly from the watch to my AirPods Pro 2 (leaving my phone behind as I go for a run), the playback will stop after each song. I have to manually skip to the next track every time. This does not happen when playing from my phone to my AirPods.
What I've tried to fix this issue:
None of these things have solved the issue.
One thing I noticed is that when I skip forward to the last few seconds of a song using my watch screen and I continue to watch the playback it WILL automatically skip to the next song. But when I let a whole song play out and my watch screen goes in to stand by, it will again stop playing at the end of the song.
Any ideas ?
Exact same problems. Iphone 15pro, apple watch 7 been working fine for long time on my runs and gym workouts for long time, years now. started 2 weeks or so ago for me. had to have been caused by an update to IOs (done a few of those now since IOS18 came out late october), apple watch update which it also did few weeks ago, or a spotify update. Clearly a bug got in the system, sounds like you guys are working on it. Guessing you must have some apple using gym rats or runners on your staff there, use them as Ginney pigs with fixes. Let us all know when an update is out that fixes it. Thanks. Spotify on my which is critical function at this point! ditched all my old mp3 players, completely dependent now like many I am sure so we are counting on you guys to fix this soon as possible 🙂 will be check back on this post periodically so let us know progress once in a while how things are going on this one.
Why would you report this to Apple?
It is a Spotify app on;ly problem.
It requires a solution from Spotify.
