All songs keep repeating on my apple watch

Solved!

All songs keep repeating on my apple watch

Songs keep repeating on my apple watch even if I have shuffle on or off. I have to manually tap next. I have tried multiple different playlists from my watch during my nightly runs.  These are all offline downloaded playlists. This worked fine for years. I have uninstalled the app from my watch, reinstalled it, deleted the playlists and redownloaded them. Still the same

Resinstalled the app and downloaded everything again, and it keeps failing to Play the next song

it plays 2 - 3 and then stops

Apple Watch SE (2022)

everything worked before with WatchOS 9, But after i updated it to 11 (11.2 now) this problem happens. Not sure if is related or is just Spotify

i just turn off Wifi on the Watch and leave my phone at home, because im only running with the Apple watch

Same issues here

Ill use previous comments as a template:

Details of the Issue

Device: Apple Watch Series 7

Plan: Premium

Issue: Playback stops after each song in a playlist instead of continuing automatically. Only downloads 100 songs from playlists. Shuffle is not true shuffle and will play the same songs in the same order  if  'shuffled'.

Scenarios Tested:

•Streaming playlists via iPhone connection.

•Playing downloaded playlists offline.

•Using AirPods Pro

Steps Taken to Resolve:

1.Rebooted the Apple Watch.

2.Uninstalled and reinstalled the Spotify app on the Apple Watch.

3.Tested both with and without the iPhone connection.

4.Attempted playback using downloaded playlists.

5. Factory reset Apple Watch

6. Used brand new Iphone 16 Pro Max

Unfortunately, none of these steps resolved the issue, and the behavior persists under all conditions tested.

Environment Details

Apple Watch OS Version: WatchOS 11.2 (latest version).

Spotify App Version: 9.0.2.419 (latest version).

iPhone Model and iOS Version: iPhone 16 Pro Max, iOS 18.2 (latest version).

Earbuds Model: AirPods Pro (latest firmware).

Connection Type: Bluetooth headphones, Wi-Fi, and LTE (tested all).

Hey folks,

Appreciate your patience while the teams are looking into this!

Those of you that haven't updated the app to the latest version yet, could you make sure that you manually install the newest Spotify version on your Apple Watch?

Let us know if the same behavior continues after the update.

I tried yesterday again and it worked!! Hopefully its because of the update and is it fixxed 🙃 thanks!

I have an Apple watch 7 series (GPS and cellular) and it started happening in November and started after the iPhone update. I'm running 11.2 OS. I have an iPhone 12, iOS 18.1.1 version. I have updated my phone, restarted my watch multiple times, removed Spotify and added multiple times.

So it was working fine & now when listening to a downloaded playlist on shuffle it will just randomly stop at the end of a song & you can't skip forward or pause and restart the song, I have to force close the app & restart the playlist & then it will do it again a few songs later.  Very frustrating & cumbersome.

It's broke again, please fix it.

Crazy how there's still no fix. It's been going on for a few weeks now. I really want to switch back to Spotify but Apple Music is just a much better music app for the Apple Watch at this point....

I ran two days ago and the problem was not present anymore. I have version 9.0.2 installed.

I also run again yesterday, and for the second time in a row no issues anymore! Looks like its fixxed. Thankyou!

Hey folks,

Thank you for your patience.

We just received confirmation from internal teams that this should be fixed by now. If you're still having this issue, we'd recommend updating your app to its latest version, or even perform a clean reinstall of the app on your device.

We appreciate your reports. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
