Songs keep repeating on my apple watch even if I have shuffle on or off. I have to manually tap next. I have tried multiple different playlists from my watch during my nightly runs. These are all offline downloaded playlists. This worked fine for years. I have uninstalled the app from my watch, reinstalled it, deleted the playlists and redownloaded them. Still the same
WatchOS 11.1 (22R585)
Solved! Go to Solution.
Probleem is sinds 1-2 weken. Vandaag tijdens hardlopen ieder tweede nummer bleef herhalen.
appversie 8.9.90.84
Watch 10 met iOS 11.1
iphone 16 pro met iOS 18.1
trouble shoot oplossingen hebben geen effect.
Did anyone try to clear cache on app? Did it do a difference?
I did that and did a quick test for a few songs and it was ok! (I have to admit I was in rush with family….)
I will try some more tomorrow.
De cache op de Watch of in de telefoonapp? Hoe maak je de cache op de Watch leeg. Na opnieuw installeren zou de cache ook leeg moeten zijn lijkt me. Dat heeft niet geholpen,
Same issue. Version 10.6.1. Includes cellular data.
This only happens when I’m playing from downloads and out of range of WiFi and my phone. Essentially when I’m out for a run.
When I’m running, one song plays twice, then playback stops. I can open the app, skip to next and that will play twice and stop.
When I get home from my run, playback is normal.
Yes same here I also run and found this exact problem, I’ve now unpaired my watch and re-paired it setting up my watch as a new device, I’ll report back in the morning after my run… 🤞
Same here
- start about a week or 2 ago
- not sure if it was update related or not, maybe iso 11.1
- apple ultra 2
- iphone 11pro
- mobile app 8.9.90
I thought it was exclusive to being unpaired from the phone and happening when I was away from my phone and out on a run. However, yesterday I proved that wrong. I observed the same bug while sitting at home, near my phone, but playing from the AWU2 downloaded Spotify playlist—same exact problem.
Apple Watch Ultra 2, iOS 11.1 (22R585)
iPhone 13pro, iOS 18.0.1
Spotify Version 8.9.90.84
I don't have an exact date when it started, but it was roughly 5-to7 days ago.
Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS)
Watch OS 11.1
iPhone 11 Pro Max
iOS 18.1
Spotify Version 8.9.90
I believe the issue started with the last app update 1-2 weeks ago.
I’ve tried all troubleshooting tips given & the problem continues. Just finished a 60 minute run and had 2 manually skip every other song, because every other song would repeat. Finished the run and the playlist stopped working altogether although there were still songs that hadn’t played yet. Please fix. Thanks in advance!
On the plus side, if I Got You Babe is in your playlist, you can be Phil Connors in Groundhog Day!
Ha! It’s Phil Connors. Phil Collins is a singer. Great movie though!
Thanks for the correction! Doh!
I can confirm this is correct, I had the same assumption but after listening connected to wifi, I experienced the same issue
Same issue. Playback on Apple Watch offline mode.
song 1 plays fine
song 2 plays fine
song 2 repeats and the playlist stops.
Spotify app on the phone v. 8.9.90
watch series 3 watch os 10.6.1.
Have restarted. Reinstalled app multiple times. Redownloaded playlists. Problem started about a week ago. Super frustrating.
Same issue here on AW SE 2022.
I only play from Apple Watch when running and only from my offline downloads.
I think it started around the time iOS 18.1. was released, not sure if there was an AW/app update during that time.
Watch Model MNLD3FD/A
Watch OS: 11.1 (22R585)
Spotify Version: 8.9.90.84
iOS 18.1
iPhone 15
Nou.
I’ve been having this same problem for a week or 10 days now. The Spotify app on my phone works fine (playlist advance normally), but on my watch playlists will play one or two songs and then the last song played will repeat. I can manually advance to the next song.
I’m playing downloaded playlists on an Apple Watch Ultra. Phone is 15 Pro Max. Spotify app version is 8.9.90.84
success! okay so I unpaired my Apple Watch then re-paired to iPhone and setup as new device (not from backup) took about an hour so do and re-install apps etc. but I've just been for an hour run away from wifi and phone just my watch and AirPods and it everything is working as expected including shuffle in playlists which were downloaded to watch. Also no stuttering and repeating last 20 seconds of songs randomly which I'd also noticed in the last couple of weeks. Hope it works for you too
I have exactly the same. Offline playlist (that took me a while to download, and still some playlists can’t download all the songs to Apple Watch).
1st track is playing
2nd track is playing
2nd track repeats
3rd track not starting ( have to manually press next)
it’s very annoying during the run
