Apple TV device not appearing

Spotify on IPAD,
When I tap the AirPlay icon it only offers me the IPad I am using, not any of my Apple TV devices.
I can control Apple TV using this iPad and iRemote.
Do I have to install something on the Apple TV devices?

Make sure your iPad and the Apple TV are on the same WIFi network

Good tip but sadly both devices are on the same wireless network.

Hmm... then it could be a problem with iOS on the iPad.

Spotify doesn't have anything to do with AirPlay. All it does it tap into the built in AirPlay.

Have you tried switching to the Apple TV from the control center?
