My Question or Issue

Today my Spotify app has updated/I’ve unfortunately been opted into an A/B test with a new Now Playing UI that while it does LOOK better, is functionally worse because it buries the queue, which I use frequently.

Instead of simply tapping the queue button on the Now Playing screen as before, now the queue button is buried behind a hamburger menu. It took me quite a while to actually find it. Now it’s a minimum of two taps to get to the queue.

Please place the queue back in the navigation bar as it was before. It’s far more confusingly placed now and makes the UX significantly worse.

It wasn’t broken before!

I’m also affected by this. It is BY FAR the feature I use the most, I’m frequently adding, removing, moving, etc. songs from the queue. It is now extremely annoying to have to go through that menu to get there!

Hey @LolasaurusRex & @zacaso, welcome to the Community.
Hope you’re doing great!

At Spotify, possible improvements and new features are often being tested. This means you might see something on the app your friend doesn't, or get a brand new feature for only a temporary period.

Things tested could include the next generation of security protection, or new ways to listen. It's also a way for Spotify to introduce new features, and fine-tune the app to be compatible with specific devices.

Currently to go to the queue or use repeat/shuffle buttons you need to tap the … top right corner.

I’d recommend supporting this idea if you don’t like this change to Spotify

Hope it helps 🙂
