Can I stop Spotify from automatically reading the next podcast episode?

My Question or Issue

When I listen to podcasts on the Spotify app, at the end of each episode, the next one (or the previous one, depending on the way they are organised) starts to play automatically. Is there a way to prevent that?

I do not always want to listen to multiple episodes of the same podcast back-to-back. I would just like the app to stop at the end of each episode, so that I could choose what I want to hear next (without having to hurriedly grab my phone to interrupt the new episode).

In the "Playback" section of the settings, I have deactivated “Gapless playback” and “Autoplay” but it hasn't changed anything. Is there another setting that I could alter?

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community. 

Currently, there's no option in the app to disable this feature for podcasts. 

However, it looks like other people feel the same way. In this case, it's well worth giving it a vote to show your support here.
