Can not download local files on my iPhone

Hi,

since a few days, I can't download local files on my iPhone.
After importiong them to my Library, I can't save them on my device.
My phone says, that the songs can't get load.
Friends of mine have got the same problem.
Any ideas..?

Hey there!

Are you trying to import songs you added to your library in your computer or directly on your phone from the Music app?

I personally find it easier/less buggy (and recommend) to add local files to the iphone by:

1. Adding the files to itunes
2. Syncing the iphone with itunes to transfer the files to the Music app
3. Opening Spotify on the iphone, going to Settings > Import Your Songs
4. Adding the files to the app directly from the phone

Update, it seems the previous steps I posted only works for those signed up for some Beta testing. Please try this workaround instead:

1. Create a playlist with your Local Files;

2. Open the spotify app on your phone while connected to the same wifi network as your computer

3. Turn on the offline download switch when the playlist appears on your phone.

Hi, have the same problem. But te thing is that the songs are already download. They just won't play.

(you can see the beyonce songs are with the dowloaded icon)

Anyone knows why is this happening? Please help spotify !!
