Can’t add songs to playlist

Can’t add songs to playlist

I can no longer add songs to playlists.

 

When I click the three dots next to a song and then “add to playlist,” my list of playlists shows up, and then when I tap a playlist to add the song to, the playlist turns darker grey (as if it’s been pressed), but the song is not added. It’s the same with any playlist I try to add a song to. I’ve closed and re-opened Spotify and also held down the home and power buttons on my iPad for 10 seconds to trigger a hard reset, but no luck.

 

Any advice?

Have you checked your internet connection or maybe updating the app?

Yes to both! Still no luck... any more ideas?

I had the exact same problem. After I reinstalled the app on my iPad the problem went away.

The problem returned. But I discovered that the song was added to the playlist even though nothing seemed to happen. So the message etc. that indicates that the action is performed does not show.

This is clearly a bug Spotify must fix.

Unfortunately, three years later, I’m having the exact same problem. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app twice, and restarted my iPhone several times. Did anyone find a solution to this problem?
