Can't log into spotify when on home wifi

Can't log into spotify when on home wifi

On my iPhone, Spotify shows as offline when I’m connected to my home Wi-Fi (it works perfectly on other Wi-Fi networks). On my desktop and TV it works fine (and they’re connected to the same Wi-Fi network in home). I contacted Spotify support and they don’t even know a solution. The only thing they could do was tell me to talk to my internet service provider (Spectrum). What an answer!

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to see you've been having issues with your app always staying in offline mode.

Could you let us know if the same behaviour can be observed when someone else logs in to your device when your Wi-Fi network is in use?
 

And, aside from this, I'm thinking that this behaviour may have something to do with your cached data for your specific account, so what I'd suggest is the following:

  1. Restart your router and wait a minute before turning it back on so that we're on the safe side first.
  2. If the issues persist, see if clearing your app's cached data would make a difference. Log out and back in twice in a row after this to trigger a manual sync of your settings and data.
  3. Should the issue remain, see if going for a complete clean reinstall of the app would resolve things for you.
