Can't play any songs on iPod touch 5th gen

My girlfriend got spotify on her iPhone and I thought it was great, and I got my iPod for Christmas and downloaded it. No songs will play unless I press shuffle play. Clicking on the songs does literally nothing. Please help with this, I'm dying to use spotify.

If you are not a premium member you can only play in shuffle mode, you can get a free 30 day trial here (if you haven't already) 🙂
