Can't use Offline Mode

Newbie

No matter what I do, I CANNOT play my songs in offline mode. I'm currently using the Premium free-trial and I'm using an iPad Air 2. It's brand new and has over 50+GB free so there's plenty of space for music to download. However, it simply refuses to download any songs even after I reinstalled, relogged, and refreshed the appliccation. Please help me!
