Can you sync to an iPod nano (4th generation)???

Might be a easy question to answer but I can seem to find the answer anywhere.

I have spotify premium and would like to sync some playlists I have made to my ipod, I don't mind losing the song that are on it currently as they are all stored in iTunes, some of which are included in my playlists but the majority are not. Is this possible or do I need a different version of iPod?

You can only sync local tracks to those iPod's, if at all.

If you want to play Spotify tracks, then you will need a device that can handle apps.
