Car Bluetooth very quiet

so I bought a new phone yesterday after I smashed my old one 😞 I was originally playing Spotify through the USB in a ford fiesta, to which the sound quality had no issue. 

However, once I took the phone off the USB lead and used Bluetooth, the loudness of the songs playing almost halved. 

I usually only need to play the car music on 16, whereas yesterday to get the same loudness but worse quality I had to have on 28...

Does anyone know a fix for this? I have already clean installed it,  have changed over all of my settings as all the forums say but still nothing...
