Converted M4a to mp3 plays well on PC but not on iphone4

Converted M4a to mp3 plays well in spotify on PC but not on iphone4. The song appears on spotify on phone but wont play (no timebar)

You might need to sync these files to your device from your computer. You should be able to find instructions here.

But it didnt work

I created a playlist on the PC containing only the song in both .m4a and mp3 format (2files)

Both showed up on the iphone with all datas and also the picture of the album after making playlist available offline. but there was no sound and no sign of the song being played without the sound

The song plays well on the PC, but not on the iphone

Any other ideas?
