Crutchfield is saying their receivers don't support Spotify over Bluetooth. Tell me it isn't so.

Crutchfield just told me that Spotify doesn't work over Bluetooth with the receivers they carry.  I have a feeling they are wrong or aren't telling the whole story (i.e. can't guarantee it will work and don't want to deal with returns).

I have an iPhone 5 and I BT stream Spotify to my BT headset all day long.

Here's the chat transcript with Crutchfield:

Crutchfield.: To use spotify from your iPhone, you will need to connect it via the analog auxiliary input. None of the receivers we currently offer are compatible for streaming Spotify from the iPhone via USB.

Jon: but i can stream via BT right?

Crutchfield.: You can stream music stored on the iPhone, but not Spotify.

Jon: It's not just a normal BT reciever?

Crutchfield.: Select models will stream Pandora and other Apps like SiriusXM. None of the Bluetooth receivers we carry are confirmed to stream the Spotify App. I wish I had better news for you this morning.

Jon: It doesn't work or you can't confirm it works?

Crutchfield.: Bluetooth can vary from device to device. It may be possible with a certain model, but generally speaking you cannot stream Spotify via Bluetooth from the iPhone with the receivers we carry.
