Downloaded songs on playlists will not play

Ever since I updated my iPad, many of the downloaded songs in my playlist will not play. I am also having issues connecting to spotify as well. This is very frustrating because I pay for premium! It's irritating to pay for a product that doesn't work.

Would you be able to try all of the steps in the iOS Troubleshooting topic and see if they help at all? 

If not, if you could fill in the template with your details we can troubleshoot further 🙂

I followed the iOS troubleshooting instructions and had to re-download every playlist which took a really long time (much longer than it originally took). The downloaded playlists will play now, but spotify radio still does not work. Of course I did all of that without doing the latest update first, so now I'm putting that off for fear that I will have to go through the process all over again. Thank you for your response. I appreciate your time.
