Efficient removal of downloaded music from iPhone

Efficient removal of downloaded music from iPhone

1) Because I like music, I have many many songs/artists/albums/playlists saved to Spotify.

2) I have selected over the years to download some of these to my iPhone.

3) My iPhone is running out of space because Spotify consumes too much memory.

4) To free space, I want to remove/delete some of that downloaded music.

QUESTIONS:

  • Is there REALLY no way to see and edit the list of downloaded music?
  • I really must go through each and every album/song/artist and manually turn off "Available Online" switch?
  • My other option is to delete and re-install the entire app, and then re-select what music I want to download?
  • Is this 2016 or 1997?

Please tell me this otherwise great doesn't lack this most basic functionality.

The title to your thread is a little misleading. 🙂

You can use the filter to show only downloaded music. In songs/artists/albums views, just drag down the list to reveal the filter. Downloads is one of the options. Just remember to cancel the filter when you finish with it or you'll be wondering where all your music went.

Thank you very much! Wish some things were more intuitive on this app.
