Extreme suddenly gives me low quality songs

Extreme suddenly gives me low quality songs

Since yesterday the Spotify app on my iPhone behaves strangely. When I download songs for offline use the songs are downloaded in a couple of seconds. You could think that's a nice thing, but since I'm having my sync settings put to Extreme, I got a feeling that the songs are actually syncing at a way lower quality.

Has something changed to the codecs Spotify uses or what can it be?

And because the proof is in the eating of the pudding I just checked the data usage on my iPhone. A single album is just 45 MB. That's absolutely not an 320 Ogg Vorbis-file.

Have you listened to the track before though? It could be they have already been locally cached by the Spotify app.

I have the same problem. Need sollution.

Already deleted cache and then Spotify itself. The installed Spotify again and downloaded Justified by JT. It took 45mb when selected Extreme quality. That's no 320kbps. Need your help Spotify!!

This really sucks! Just subscribed and already this darn problem!

How did you measure the 45MB out of interest? You have the download quality set to "extreme" in the spotify app settings?

Got the folder where files for Spotify are saved and leftclick properties of that folder et voila. I only downloaded one album. Its 45mb. Also whole within 10 sec downloaded. 320kbps would not be possible. Yes settings are extreme.

Just wondering if you have the album on your PC as local files?
