Glitches out on home wifi

On my IPhone, spotify works correctly when I'm not connected to wifi, but as soon as i go on my wifi at home (i haven't tried this on a different connection so im assuing that its my home wifi) it will play a few seconds of a song, make distorted noises, then the app will cut out, sometimes the app cuts out before i even get to play a song! Ive tried reinstalling it, restarting my phone, and the wifi but it just won't work! It works on my laptop just fine though. Any solutions?

  • first i'd suggest you uninstall the app, restart your device(s) and then re-install.
  • next, you can sign out of all devices here.
  • clear the cache for the app.
  • try listening on a different device to see if the same problem occurs.

Regrettably up to now there is no solution. I tried all troubleshooting tipps I've found in the community forum. Spotify itself seems not to take care of this issue. I placed a support call with them, stated all the troubleshooting measures I already did (reseting router, open port 4070, SSID change etc.) and their answer was that I should delete and reinstall the app (this was the first measure I did when the problem occured). Is this for real? Customer support: Zero Points!

spotify support have to go from the first step to ensure the problem is resolved. getting feedback after each step is the best way of isolating the issue!
