How can a switch off shuffle?

On both my ipad2 & iphone6 I cant seem to switch off shuffle. This problem appears to have only recently occurred.

Pressing the green shuffle button repeatedly has the same effect in that it changes the track but thereafter it goes back into shuffle mode.

The same track has been played more than once before all others are played.

This is annoying to say the least!

Right, Having searched in more detail I seem to have figured out how to do this now.

Should have done this first I guess!

Anyway this is not very user friendly to say the least.
