How do I swipe to remove a song from a playlist? (like Liked Songs)

There used to be a way I could swipe to simply delete a song from a playlist. Now I have to click ... and then tap a few more times to remove it.

This gets cumbersome and repetitive fast.

Is there a simpler way?

From what I could find, it looks like there ONCE WAS a way to do it... but it was axed somewhere along the way?

In other words, swiping to REMOVE a song DID work before.

Any idea why it was taken out?

The Spotify app changes over time. Our developers are constantly testing new ways to improve the user experience, which involves removing, adding, or changing features. 

We can't say for sure why the swipe-away function has been removed or if it will be reintroduced to the app.
