My Question or Issue

I am just wondering if this is the norm. My friend has 4500 downloaded and it’s taking up 14gb, before anyone suggests it, my cache is empty and was only 200mb. That’s why I’m confused

Hey @JohnBlowers,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

In this case, keep in mind that depending on the quality you have set for your downloads on the app, the storage space cache can change. That being said, we recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app, so all the files of the app on your mobile device will be deleted. You can find out the steps to do it in this article.

If you don't notice any difference after that in your storage, it'd be really helpful if you send us some screenshots of the described behavior. Also, it'd be awesome if you let us know the quality in which you're downloading content.

We'll keep an eye on your response!

I am having this same issue. I was using 56GB (2GB of that was "other") of 512GB on iphone xs. So I figured 128GB of space was plenty.

Hey @Kertzmann,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

Can you let us know if you've reinstalled the app with steps that were suggested earlier in the thread?

This might be caused by an issue with your device's cache. We'd also recommend taking a look at this page to see how to clear it.

In case that doesn't solve it, we'd appreciate it if you share the OS version and Spotify version of the device you're using, as well as the info that @AlejaR requested.

Do keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout in case you need a hand.
