IPOD 4TH GENERATION WONT SHOW UP IN DEVICES

MY 4th generation ipod will not show up on my computer to sync local files through spotify

Why would you want to use Spotify as a music manager for? Refer to the link above, Spotify doesn't want to intend the newer versions of iPod anymore, unless you use an iPod Touch as its no longer a offline music manager..
