Ipad 2 unable to get app

Good afternoon . 

After deteting the app on my iPad 2 I want to put it back on . When I try going into the apps store then going to updates and from there I tried to go into purchases and re install the app it won't re install . I've looked and the version requires ios10 onwards . I can't use iOS 10 on my iPad 2 the only version I can use is ios9 . Can anybody help me to get round this .
