LOGIN FAILED: You've already created an account with this email address


Brief description of the issue:

I have a new iPad, which I restored from the cloud, and have attempted to open Spotify and get the LOGIN FAILED as in my subject. 


Steps to reproduce the issue:


First I did this:

Opened APP and was asked to sign in
Then I did that and received the error
I also did this:

Deleted APP, rebooted iPad, downloaded Spotify again and attempted to login with the same error answer. 


What steps you’ve tried already:

 

Opened and signed in via Safari and was recognised by Spotify. Could not find playlist though. 
Your device and operating system (e.g. iPhone 5, iOS 😎

 

iPad 3 iOS 10.2
Type of Spotify account you have (Free or Premium):

FREE
The app version of Spotify you’re using:

6.8.0

Please try logging in with your username and password instead of your email address and password.

Hi, thank you for you help I have finally logged in but after many tries with my user name. Thanks

I am having the same issue and I am logging in with my username, not my email, but it still won't work. any advice?

I lost my phone so when i replaced i had this messaged when trying to log in.

 

So I logged in via PC - went to account details and scrolled to the bottom and selected sign out of all devices which then allowed me to log into account on new iphone via username.
