Listening to Spotify while driving would be so much better with iOS Shortcuts support

Using the app while driving is awful. I mainly listen to Spotify in my car, and I can't do simple things like:

Request the current song to be added to my playlist;

Ask to remove the current song from my playlist;

Ask to switch playlists;

Set to autoplay a specific playlist when connected to Carplay;

Dislike the current song from smart shuffle;

Turn smart shuffle on or off.

I must remember to do these things after arriving to my destination, but let’s be real, I almost always forget and only remember about them when that annoying song from smart shuffle starts to play again.

Come on, Spotify! You are lagging behind the competition. Do you really want your customers to jump ship and go to Apple Music?

I really feel frustrated as a customer, so many people requested this feature and Spotify just ignores it. If you guys don’t want to do the whole Shortcuts thing because of your beef with Apple, at least find another solution!

The app for cars is more simplified for safety reasons, but we understand where you're coming from and will make sure to pass your feedback onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

You can also have a look in our Idea Exchange to see if someone else has already made a similar suggestion. If there isn't one, you can give these steps a go and submit your idea so that other users can also support it. The higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for it to be implemented.

The Idea Exchange is a great way for us to see what our users are interested in and how many people like a certain idea. Just keep in mind that if you have more than one idea, you can make a new idea submission for each one. This way we’ll know exactly which idea folks are voting for.
