Local files' quality lower when played on Iphone with Bluetooth

I have several songs downloaded locally on my computer which play fine, but I have them synced to my phone at very high download quality, and I get distortion and the audio sounds fuzzy. This doesn't happen when I plug headphones into the audio jack, but it does with Bluetooth and when I plug in a USB through the charging port. Also, if I play the same songs on a different app, they sound fine on Bluetooth devices.

I've been having the exact same issue and it's been driving me crazy trying to figure out the reason!
