This could be Discord automatically pausing, if this happens when you're in a discord call just unlink spotify and discord
Hi folks,
Thanks for joining the thread!
We wanted to gather as much useful info in one place as possible so it can hopefully help anyone, who's still experiencing this issue. Here's what we recommend trying apart from what was already mentioned:
A user in a different thread on the same topic mentioned that they were able to fix the issue by going into their voice and video settings, scrolling to the bottom and clicking Reset voice settings, so give that a try as well. The steps may very depending on the device you're using, but should be somewhat similar.
Hope this helps.
A howlin' hello to you!
I'm sorry to hear that you're still experiencing issues with Spotify. Here are a few more steps you can try to resolve the issue:
Check your internet connection: Poor internet connectivity can cause songs to pause frequently. Make sure that you are connected to a stable and strong Wi-Fi network, or have a strong cellular signal if you're using mobile data.
Disable battery optimization: If you're using an Android device, try disabling battery optimization for the Spotify app. This can sometimes cause issues with playback. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization and then select the Spotify app, and choose "Don't Optimize".
Clear app data: Clearing app data can sometimes resolve issues with the app. Go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Storage and select "Clear Data".
Try using a different device: If the issue persists, try using Spotify on a different device to see if the problem is device-specific.
Contact Spotify support: If none of these solutions work, you can contact Spotify support for further assistance. They may be able to provide additional troubleshooting steps or escalate the issue to their technical team for further investigation.

**bleep** I have the same problem as well!! It’s annoying I have an iPhone and tried deleting, reinstalling, turning off my phone, restarting my phone, clearing cache, it’s not a WiFi issue at all for me, I even logged out and logged into my account multiple times, turned off background refresh and turned it back on, but nothing is helping and honestly it’s getting me mad, if anyone can help with an actual solution please help!

This started happening to me today. I have a premium account and it's happening across all devices within the same dwelling.
Getting this in 2025, like wth!? And it's not limited to my iPhone. It happens with my Apple TV, my laptop. All devices.
I am getting the same it started after a recent update by Spotify. I also added a dns entry that had helped some people but mine still stops after 1 song or sometimes 30 seconds. I have tried all other steps mentioned. Had Spotify since 2016. Ready to move on. Pandora works with my grouped speakers with no issues. Believe issue is with Spotify connect.

I have 5 wireless Samsung grouped speakers. They always worked fine until last update. I can play Pandora all day without stopping or interruptions. Only Spotify does this occur. I have been with Spotify since 2017. I am not using Bluetooth so that is a non issue. I have power cycled my router twice and also reset all speakers to factory and reconnected them to router. I have tried 2.4 but presently am running on 5ghz which it always ran fine on. I have done a clean reinstall of app. This stopping occurs on my IPAD, iphone and desktop. I also added a recommended DHCP setting of 64.225.68.86 and 8.8.8.8 which was recommended by Samsung when I talked to their support. And did not work. I also removed any connected apps on account page that may be suspect. I am not sure on your recommendation to reset voice settings. Is this on an iphone, or within the Spotify app ? The fact it can play Pandora all day with no issues the error looks like Spotify Connect and not holding a persistent connection to my grouped speakers. I also broke the group and tried a single speaker and the error still occurs. Kinda running out of options. Thanks for feedback - any other recommendations would be appreciated.
Hi again, @calypsot
Thanks for keeping in touch and for sending us all of those details!
Too many Spotify sessions opened simultaneously might create some issues with the Connect feature. Because you mentioned you normally use your Spotify account on different devices, we suggest logging out from all devices following the steps here under "sign out everywhere" and then restart all of them (including the speakers), to check if that makes any change.
Let us know how it goes!
I logged out of all devices and logged back in one my mobile and same issue. 1 to 2 songs and stops. I have tried everything. Pretty much at a loss. It only occurs on Samsung Multiroom app with 5 speakers grouped. I have tried them single and does the same. I have reset them to factory and established connection. I made sure am not getting any network interference. They have dedicated IPs so it doesn’t change and they are basically static. I have reinstalled Spotify and Samsung Multiroom app several times and Restarted router. No good. Just frustrating. This does not occur using Amazon or Pandora only Spotify connect.
