Music stops when changing app in car (carplay mode)

Hi, spotify now supports car play. Thats fine and disturbing at the same time.

Whenever I connect my Iphone to my BMW, the App changes to carplay mode.

When I am listening to music but want to check another app quickly, Spotify stops playing the music.

Is it possible to let the music continue streaming in the background?

And is there a chance to dismiss carplay mode?

I find it more comfortable to browse my music on my phone than on my car.

You should now be able to put Spotify in the background and use other apps while connected to your BMW. Dismissing the Spotify app lockout is something we are looking to add in a future update.
