My premium subscription isn't recognized on iPhone.

Hello all,

I'm having trouble getting my premium membership up and running on my iPhone. User name is benfolts. Any thoughts?

Hi there @Benfolts! Welcome to the Spotify Community, :).

 

There is a slight delay when pushing out new subscription information across mobile devices; you could either wait or you could try some of these tips out...

 

  1. Log out of Spotify from your mobile device.
  2. Delete Spotify from your mobile device.
  3. Clear your device's cache (if applicable).
  4. Reboot your mobile device completely.
  5. Re-install Spotify.
  6. Log back in.

After following the instructions I am still unable to get this working on my iPhone 5.  Is this just buggy?

Does your desktop client show "Spotify Premium" at the top?

When spotify is running on your mobile device, does it show up under "devices" in the desktop client?

Thanks for responding.  Spotify Premium appears on top of my desktop app.  I am NOT however seeing my phone under "devices" in the desktop client.

Hi Ben. It might be that you logged into your phone using different credentials from thos you use on the desktop. Try logging out on the phone then log back in using facebook. If that doesn't work, log out again and log in with your spotify username and password.

Spotify works fine on my computer and yes Spotify Premium shows on the top.

 

But i've tried the app on my Iphone and Ipad and it says i have a free trial. why isnt it picking up my premium account?

 

Any help would be great as i go on holiday soon and wanted to take Spotify with me :o(

Did you try logging out on your mobile devices then logging back in?

yep. about a dozen times. i've even uninstalled and re-installed the app a couple of times
