New user apple 5s can't get online please help

Hi all, i just downloaded Spotify on an old 5s phone without a sim card.  The phone is on wifi and i had to download an old version of spotify.

Unfortunately it keeps saying I am not online, even though I am.....  I checked and can browse other sites.  I also checked and in spotify settings I am "online" checked...  What am I missing?

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

I'd also recommend updating your 5s to 12.1.4 and Spotify to 8.4.97 🙂

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

Funny, for some reason I can't find the place to update to the most current version of iOS....  Not sure if being there is no SIM card that it blocks it, but typically its in Settings, General, About....  But its not there......  

I'll try to Restart, Uninstall Spot and then Re-Install it and see if that works
