My Question or Issue
When Spotify goes offline, it allows me to see my downloaded songs and playlists (but is slow). I click play on a song, it plays but the app crashes between 30-40 seconds after playing. I can start the song at any point (beginning, close to end) on any song or playlist and Spotify continues to crash. Nothing I do prevents the app from crashing. I restarted my phone, I went to airplane mode (since I’m losing service on the subway to get to offline mode originally), tried different methods.. still the app does not work at all. I cannot get through 1 song and meanwhile, it drained my battery by 20% trying to get it to work over a 30 minute period.
Same issue also on iPhone pro 15 iOS version 18.6.2
Same issue on IPhone 13 iOS 18.7.1
and iPad Pro (M1) on iPadOS 26
Same here man, iPhone 14 Pro, 18.6.2. Really frustrating, must be from a recent update
It’s not to due with an update, as I’ve just had the same issue in 2025 (I don’t know what update I’m on, it’s irrelevant as I said), it seems to be with apples permissions, go to your settings, I turned off location and gave it full access to my photos instead of limited access, it had something to do with adding a local photo as my playlist cover via my local Apple photos app
**bleep**ing garbage. And they got us paying real money every **bleep**ing month for it.
Hey folks,
Thanks for the reports.
Have you tried performing a clean reinstall of the app? It will help get rid of any potentially corrupted cache and ensure you're running the latest version of Spotify available, but do note that you'll have to re-download your music afterwards.
@Anthonyd1207onIG, does your workaround alleviate the issue on your end? If so, could you folks give it a go to see if it does for you as well?
Let us know how it goes 👍.
I have over 5,000 songs downloaded. deleting the app is not my preferred solution

My Question or Issue
I walk to school and walk in general, yet whenever I listen to my liked songs (3K starting from mid 2023 and still adding tracks). Yet, it crashes whenever offline and turned off, and i have tried everything: toggling downloads off then one again, turn offline mode on (makes it worse crash wise and says the track can't be played) i've checked for updates (which make EVERYTHING crash for a few days before being resolved), clear caches, delete the app, log out, every tip online i tried and nothing works! Which happens at least once a day. I wouldn't normally make a complaint, but this issue has been ongoing for at least five months. What's the point in having peimun if I can't properly enjoy music while offline?
EDIT: it's also been draining battery quickly with no signs of overheating
I did sign up via Apple ID, so I could maybe do this
Obviously, I merely stated that this is a method people suggest when you search up similar situations to this, and even then, that didn't work.
Does it also drain the battery quicker? I used to be able to walk to school without losing a percentage, and now I'm losing multiple despite not interacting with anything but Spotify.
My iPad 8 also keeps crashing after playing any song with the app closed for about 50 seconds on offline mode. Idk how it is online because I haven't had wifi since yesterday, I deleted the app and now can't even redownload because the WiFi's gone 🤦♀️ Spotify please get your **bleep** together, the one time I genuinely need offline mode I can't even use it
I did a clean reset, but it didn't work: it crashed when I stopped to unadd a song. Any other tips, Yordan?
