Offline tracks do not show up in "Albums" or "Artists"

Offline tracks do not show up in "Albums" or "Artists"

Hi,

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.02 and latest release of Spotify installed.  Since the upgrade, my available offline music does not show up in OFFLINE MODE under Albums or Artists.  I see everything in Songs but the Albums screen just shows the loading screen and under Artists everything is blank.

This is obviously extremely annoying as I don't want to cycle through a gigantic list of songs.

I've tried everything including login/logout, re-installing the app (which also made me have to re-download all the offline songs which took a solid 30 minutes).  Also, these issues are all nullified when I'm connected, but the second I go back to offline Albums and Artists disappear again.

Very frustrating as this was never an issue prior to the new release.

Thanks,

B.

Hey bmc525

Sorry to hear this. Just to confirm: is everything under Albums and Artists completely blank?

Yes.  More specifically:

Artists is completely blank.

Albums shows a "..." loading screen but never loads.

Thanks.

I've had the same problem with my ipod 5th gen since the newest update. On my ipod, I can see artists and albums in their sections offline in My Music, however once I click on them it just loads a black screen and won't show offline songs, so I have to scroll through the "songs" section to listen. Songs are still on my ipod. I can get the artist pages to work temporarily offline by loading up the songs in each individual artist's page while online, then going offline. But after a day or so it stops loading and working again. It takes about 10 minutes of laboriously loading each artists page online to do this so it is not convenient by any means , esp. on a daily basis.

I have the same issue described above.
Albums offline just show the loading ...
Symbol.
Annoying having to scroll through a massive list of songs!

I'm dealing with the same exact thing. I can get to tracks within Songs and Playlists, but Albums just features "..." when an album is selected. Also, the Artists page is blank when selected. This is all within Offline mode.

Hi

I've got the same problem since the IOS update:

Offline mode, list of albums appears, click on an album to play it.

Sometimes it plays the album other times the 3 "loading" dots appear and nothing else happens.

Other times it works as it should. I've not been able to establish any pattern to this.

All of my offline music is always playable in "songs" - even when that same content is not available in "Albums".

Exactly same issue here. Very annoying.

I got spotify premium just a few ago and i never realized, that all my music are completly avaliable in the songs tab.

I found out, that some of the albums, i used to download for offline mode, are not "avaliable" (3 dots loading screen, or completly blank) while others can be played normaly through the album tab.

Also sometimes the album or the artist tab is completly blank and not avaliable during offline mode.

I also found out that restarting the iOS device can help spotify loading different albums, but about the half of the music in the album tab is still unavaliable.

-iPhone 4s 64GB

-iOS 8.02

-spotify version 1.8.0.2444

I apologize for grammer mistakes, english isnt my native language.

Edit: I just found out, that the pc (windows 7 64gb) version of spotify gets the same problem sometimes, so not only iOS users got this problem.

I am having the exact same issue and it is very frustrating.

My spotify won't show music in saved artists when offline mode is on! So frustrating!!

I am having the same issue, please fix this!!!! its really annoying. Cant load offline albums, loading screen gets stuck. The only way around it is if i go online then click on the album then go offline and then i can go into it again but will revert to old behaviour if i restart spotify.

I'm having the same issue too, only work around I've found is briefly turning on cellular data and go to the album you previously saved as offline. Select it (no need to play tracks) and it will show up fine at that point (as you have cellular data on) then go back to settings, turn off cellular data and back to Spotify and offline album plays. - Daryl

I have exactly the same issue since the 1.8 "upgrade".

The "upgrade" has also completely messed up interaction with Ford AppLink.  It sometimes plays, sometimes doesn't, and sometimes just plays what it wants to.

Same here

Same problem. It worked great and now I have to go though the songs list to get to what I want. Very annoying, please fix.

We don't pay for premium subscription not to be able to use offline feature. I am filing official complaint

Experiencing the exact same problem! Please Spotify, fix this bug - which Napster doesn't have!!

Such a pain-especially as I assume we are all premium users!-why pay for only "some" of the service. Hopefully there is enough people on this thread now to wake up Spotify and they take action!

I think the best thing to do now is submit a bug report using their contact form:
