Online data consuption using offline playlists

I want to be online playing offline playlists without downloading music using 3G data.

Question:

If i listen to offline playlists (music stored in my iphone) while spotify is in online mode, is there any 3G consuption? or the music stored locally is used for play (no 3G traffic)?

In theory there shouldn't be however it will most likely use a little traffic. The reason for that being it will report any track plays to Spotify social and also pull data from any searches you make.
