Pause While Locked Switches to iMusic

iPhone 4S

To reproduce:

 1 Play something in Spotify

 2 Lock the iPhone

 3 Use the headphone mic/volume control to pause Spotify

 4 Use the headphone mic/volume control again to resume playback.  iMusic will play instead of Spotify

Notes:

 * In step 3, this also happens if I take a call while I was listening to music

 * When I pause Spotify, I sometimes hear a quick 2 or 3 seconds of what sounds like someone saying "the certainty of the ..." at a low volume before it stops

 * When I switch back to the spotify app the middle icon is pause, as if there was music playing

Is nobody able to reproduce this?  It's incredibly annoying...

It's really rare that this happens to me maybe once out of 100 times.

Try closing the orange icon Music app? Force close the music app and see if it happens.

Unfortunately, force closing the iMusic app doesn't work because this happens to me every time even if iMusic isn't running when I start up Spotify.  Sounds like it's just me... is there some way to clear Spotify's local cache or do I have to uninstall and reinstall the app?
