Playing songs I own

Playing songs I own

So I have songs I own on my computer that are also clearly available on spotify- from albums that are available. I add those songs to my playlist, and it takes the owned copy of the song, so when I play it on my phone, it says the song is not available. I can't sync my music- I've tried everything including resetting my phone completely. Short of finding those songs on my phone app, is there any way to make it take the song from the spotify library instead of my computers files?

If they are available on Spotify, you would have to search for the song on Spotify and then replace the local owned version that is in the playlist. If you have the songs inside of your local files source (settings ---> local files) then you will have to make sure those local files are removed from the folder so that Spotify won't import them.
