Playlist can only be manually shuffled

My Question or Issue

Top songs 2020 playlist does not have shuffle symbol imbedded in green play button at top (shuffle play) so every time it is pressed it plays the playlist in order, with no memory of the playlist being shuffled before. 

It is the only one of my playlists that doesn’t have a shuffle play button but a play button. How can i fix this?

Thanks for searching for the answer you need here.

You can play your Top songs 2020 in shuffle by activating it from the Now Playing view. This support article has a detailed guide on how to do so. The app should remember the last setting when your restart it. If that's not the case it's possible that the cache has gotten corrupted. This is usually resolved by performing a clean reinstall.

If you'd like to use the green shuffle play button to do so, a possible workaround is to copy all items from  the Top songs 2020 to new playlist. The button should be available there.
