Playlist getting offline whenever I add a new song

I have an iPhone 5 and this keeps happening over and over again, it is extremely annoying. Whenever I add a new song to my playlist (2018 songs right now) it shows up as it is available offline, but I am not able to play ANY songs (not even the older ones that I had already synced) - they don't even show up as a list, it is like I have not synced anything.

any ideas?
