Podcast downloads and “Add to Your Episodes” not working on iOS

Hi,

For the past several days my Spotify account cannot download podcast episodes on iOS.

Downloads keep spinning indefinitely and never start.

Because of this, the option “Add to Your Episodes” disappears and episodes are not saved.

I tested Wi-Fi and cellular, offloaded and reinstalled the app, and logged in again.

This happens on multiple podcast shows and all episodes.

This looks like an account-level sync or backend issue rather than a device problem.

Could a Spotify staff member please reset or re-sync my podcast downloads / Your Episodes state on the server side?

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for all the troubleshooting you've done! We've moved your post to one of our Help boards as it fits better here, hope you don't mind!

Since this only started happening recently and is present even on different internet connections and podcasts, then there might be some corrupted cache causing this. You did mention reinstalling the app already, but we'd also recommend performing a clean reinstall if you haven't tried that out, since it's more thorough.

Something else that's worth the shot is making sure that Data saver is off both in your device's settings and in the app. Could you also check if toggling on Audio-only downloads for video podcasts in Spotify's settings -> Data-saving and offline makes any difference?

You said you suspected it might be on an account level as well, so it might also be a good idea to log in your account on a friend or relative's device to test this out and check if that might be the case.
