Radio switching to one genre only!! Help with radio genre influence!!

I made a playlist that has an equal number of songs from each genre that I like (hip-hop, country, rock). I then played this playlist in radio and started liking and thumbing down certain songs. After a few songs from Jimi Hendrix, BOC and Dio were thumbed up, all the radio plays is songs from those three darn bands. I have liked many songs accross many different genre's. So I went into "Liked from Radio" playlist and began to play that as radio. The exat same thing happens.... it starts off with a variety but as soon as it goes through a couple songs it just totally switches to the rock genre with those three bands above coming up EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. Can somebody please tell me a better way to have a radio station that just plays a mix of everything? 

I can't listen to only one genre at once.

Hey there @tgilroy!

I understand what your trying to do, unfortunately, Radio works a bit different 🙂

Every time you thumbs up or down a song, the radio line up completely changes, it seems you thumbed up a couple rock songs and now the playlist is playing rock because that's what it thinks your trying to listen to 🙂 

My suggestion would be to start a radio off of that playlist again and not thumbs up any songs, only thumbs down, then it should keep playing something from every genre 🙂

Thank you, that does make sense. I will give it a go. Now you say that radio works different, if I simply just shuffle a playlist will it act and play songs not included in the playlist as well?.... almost acting as radio?

If you are on a free subscription yes 🙂

Also, if you have the "Autoplay" Feature on, once all the songs in the playlist have finished, Spotify will automatically continue playing songs from a radio station based off of that playlist 🙂
