I am curious why the number of tracks in my playlist are different on the iPhone than when I look at the playlist on a PC.  I have 1,162 tracks in the playlist, but only 1,107 make it to the phone?

It might be that the playlist on your PC contains local files (song stored on your own computer). If they're not in the Spotify catalogue they wouldn't show up on your iPhone.
