Save To Device Nightmare (12th time this has now happened and I'm going to lose my mind)

Hi, this is legitimately the 12th time this has happened, and my soul gets chipped away at every time.

I spend tons of time Saving albums for offline play.  Every few months, randomly, they will all disappear.  A couple of times, fine something quirky happened - but this is CRAZY now.

I've completely uninstalled Spotify.  I've tried clearing the cache, deleting the data for the app in the Storage settings for iOS, completely clearing every saved song and starting from scratch, literally every single possible thing to "clear" the app.  It keeps happening!

Also a weird quirk - some albums will show up as duplicates, and there's no pattern.

How is simply saving files to a device such a problem lol.  Shouldn't this be infinitely simpler for the device to perform?

Please help!

Hi there!

I'd love to lend you a hand here! Have you had a look at this Spotify Support article: https://support.spotify.com/using_spotify/the_basics/listen-offline-troubleshooting/?

Cheers,
Tim

Hi, thanks for the response.  I went through all of the possibilities listed but none seem to apply to my situation.  I'm on a Family Plan but on my account personally I only sync on 1 device ever (my iPhone), so it's not maxing out devices or anything.

It's completely random when it chooses to delete my saved songs, and also completely random what gets deleted.  It just happened again and left behind 4 unrelated albums with no association to each other.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

Sorry about that!

Have you tried reinstalling Spotify? See how at: https://support.spotify.com/article/reinstallation-of-spotify/ (You will lose your downloads when you reinstall!)

Cheers,
Tim
