Search bar requires 2 clicks to play any song

Just earlier today (and all the time previously), when I searched for a song/artist suggestions would come up with album/artist covers (screenshot 1) and it would take 1 click to play a song. Since this afternoon, when I search, only text pops up (screenshot 2) which I have to click to get to the same screen as screenshot 1. Doubles amount of clicks I have to go through to get to any song and needless to say very annoying. Does anyone know the solution please?

We know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked.

Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let us know the exact version of Spotify?

Hi Daisy, I tried both suggestions long before your post but thanks for giving this attention.

Just for the record, neither worked, but 2 days ago the issue resolved itself. For no reason as far as I can tell.
